Getting started

Atlantic Sets is based in Cape Town and delivers across the Western Cape. Other regions are by arrangement.

Agencies, event producers, exhibitors, film and television productions, retailers and corporate marketing teams.

Quoting and budget

A brief, dates, venue and any drawings or references. A budget range helps us suggest the right materials and approach from the start.

Feasibility and production input start during concept development. Material choices, build methods and modular options are weighed against the budget before the design is finalised, so cost is managed by design rather than by cutting scope at the end.

Concept fees depend on scope. We confirm this up front, before any design work starts.

Yes. Share the budget range early and we will design and specify to it.

Timing

Installation is planned around trading hours, centre management rules and access requirements.

As early as possible. Lead times depend on scale and venue; most exhibition stands need several weeks from approved design.

Lead time depends on complexity, scale, approvals and the venue schedule. Involving us at concept stage gives the most options.

Often, depending on workshop capacity and the complexity of the build. Ask us early and we will be clear about what is realistic.

Design

Yes. Atlantic Sets can build from your drawings or renders, and add the technical detailing needed to make the design buildable, safe and on budget.

Yes. We build from the art department’s drawings and specifications, and we can develop the design with the production where drawings do not yet exist.

Both. We can develop the stand concept from a brief, or build from a design your agency has already approved.

Yes. Depending on the scope, the design package can include layouts, 3D visuals, material direction, construction drawings and installation plans.

Yes. We work from your brand guidelines, colour references and any existing fixture standards so that new elements match what is already in store.

Yes. Design-only appointments are possible, and the drawings are produced to a standard a third-party workshop can build from

Accepted file formats for briefs, drawings and renders, and the design software used in-house.

Build and install

Timber-based construction and joinery form the core of our workshop. Metalwork and specialist fabrication are delivered through approved partners. Material choices for each project depend on finish, strength, weight, transport and lifespan.

Yes. Coordination with AV, lighting and rigging teams is built into the design and installation process, and the set is detailed with allowances for screens, cabling and fixtures.

Yes. Custom colour matching to brand references is part of the scenic painting service.

Yes — installation, show support and strike are part of our service, delivered by our own crews.

Yes. Studio builds, location builds and scenic extensions to existing spaces are all within scope.

Structural engineering, rigging and electrical certification are delivered with suitably qualified partners and coordinated by Atlantic Sets as part of the project.

Yes. We produce custom props, hero objects and sculpted or formed scenic elements to suit the concept and the way the set will be viewed.

Both. We manufacture permanent shopfitting for stores and showrooms as well as pop-ups, window displays and campaign elements.

Yes. Installation, handover, strike and load-out can form part of the project scope, planned around the organiser’s build and breakdown schedule.

Moving, rotating and lifting scenic concepts can be developed subject to engineering review and the venue’s constraints.

Yes. Touch-ups, final dressing and adjustments once lighting is in place are part of the installation scope.

Yes. Where the venue, scale or access requires it, elements can be constructed or completed in situ.

Yes. We can prototype a unit, refine it and produce a short production run to a consistent standard, then coordinate installation across sites

Depending on the build and available capacity, storage, refurbishment and rebranding between shows can be discussed as part of the project plan.

[CONFIRM: whether scenic finishing is offered on builds fabricated by other suppliers.]

Where agreed, elements are refurbished, stored or reused. Where they cannot be reused, they are disposed of responsibly.

Storage and refurbishment between shows can be arranged for modular and repeat-use builds.

Safety and sustainability

Yes. Components are pre-assembled, tested and quality-checked in the workshop so that installation on-site is faster and issues are caught before they reach the venue.

Yes. Where repeat use is part of the brief, we design modular, transportable systems with replaceable graphics and a refurbishment plan.

Yes. Standby crew for alterations, resets and strike can be included where the production requires it.

Yes. Where repeat use is part of the brief, we can design modular construction, replaceable graphics, transportable components and a refurbishment plan.

Engineered structures, safe rigging, site-ready method statements and a safety sign-off at handover.
